I see myself as relatively progressive, and liberal. I believe in gay marriage. I support the ban on the aerial killing of wolves. I believe in big government when it comes to my roads, health, export/import, education, and food prices. I believe that women should have a choice about their own bodies. I believe in mandatory gun safety classes for anyone purchasing a hand gun.
I oppose gun registration. I believe that anyone, even a jack booted Nazi, deserves to be heard in this country, no matter how uneasy the subject matter. I believe in controlling animal populations through understandable, and CONTROLLED methods. I believe in small government when it comes to Homeland Security, Big Brother-esq traffic and street cameras, over taxation of those who have less, and police state politics.
And I completely endorse the prosecution of Civil Servants when they abuse their station. I pick 'abuse their station', instead of 'abuse their power' because the civil servant has no more power than the citizen allows. The citizen is the driving force of a nation. Without the citizen the Civil Servants would collect no ducats, and no ducats means no paycheck.
In the past, the entitlement of the Civil Servant has run deep: Police brutality, Governors using their station to fire people because of personal differences, citizens being held without trial, without charges, without bail. We allow those, who would in no way be where they are if it were not for the backs, dollars, and votes of the very people that they step on, to continue to endanger the safety and freedom of us day in, and day out.
This week we were shown just how comfortable that those whom work at our bidding have gotten in their stations of 'superiority'. When a person becomes too comfortable with a deviant, or malicious act, they begin doing it in public, because they have become so desensitized to the atrocity, that for them is now a habit, that they begin to think it is normal, and acceptable behavior. Like a rapist who fantasizes about the act to the point that he believes the victim 'wants it'
Cue Arizona Sen. Lori Klein (R). Her party has been a source of massive amounts of aggressive behavior over the last 4 years, and her actions have all the ear markings of a 'fortissimo'; a raising in the level of intensity. It began, in earnest, the day that Republicans took to the lawns in DC with their automatic weapons, spitting on black people and throwing around racial slurs. The actions opened the doors for rally after rally supporting a new American-Jihadist mind set. Like our Muslim brothers to the east, our own Right Wing party has become a breeding ground for crazed, violent, bigots; thirsty for blood, and willing to destroy everything that we have built in America along the way.
Sen. Klein has become so desensitized to the actual nature of her parties message, that she has allowed herself to be the complacent aggressor. Not only she allow herself to bring a gun into a Federal Building in the first place, which she probably has been doing for quite some time seeing as she was so comfortable with it that she felt it was appropriate to not only draw it, but point it at, and turn the laser sight onto the chest of a reporter, just this week. Her 'Conservative' mindset only allowed for one response: "I didnt have my finger on the trigger"
We have laws in this country against doing exactly what she has done. This is not a Police officer with a gun, who is constantly put in danger, who snapped and beat someone. This is a senator. An official with no need to carry a gun to work. In a State and party dealing with extremists shooting Democratic officials in the head, one would expect their fellow Arizonian Civil Servants to honor the tragedy, and not flippantly brandish guns at innocent people, instilling terror inside of them in the process.
This brings me to the question everyone wants to know: Terroristic Threats, Brandishing a Weapon, Menacing, Bringing a Loaded Firearm into a Federal Building. Are these enough broken laws to prosecute? If it were you or me it would be.
